'AN EXERCISE IN NARROW GAUGE RAILWAY ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE'
The Kerrisdale Mountain Railway is situated in the north east corner of the Tallarook Ranges, north central Victoria, Australia, the KMR is a unique railway built to two foot (610 mm) gauge on a zig -zag formation. To gain the maximum height within the shortest distance, steep grades and tight curves also abound.
The railway and museum has been developed by a group of dedicated volunteers over a twelve year period and is a not for profit incorporated body. All proceeds are put back into the development and running of this facility.

Social clubs, school excursions, conference groups, welcome. To make your visit a special one, contact us for arrangements, details and pricing.
Refreshments (tea, coffee with biscuits, cold drinks, icy poles, crisps, chocolate bars etc) and souvenirs are available at the 'Bottom Points Kiosk'. Also fresh cut proteas in season and potted plants, hand made jewellery are available. 'Sunday Special Package' $6 (1 gourmet sausage, bread, sauce or mustard, biscuits & choice of hot or cold drink).

PLEASE NOTE; rolling stock consists of open and semi open carriages, weather can be variable, and change from 'Bottom Points' to 'Summit Station', therefore, for your comfort we suggest you be prepared. Our property is a wildlife sanctuary, with many species of native birds and mammals free ranging, please NO DOGS allowed. As we are a volunteer based not for profit incorporated body we do not have eftpos facilities.
